Office of Unnecessary Receipts

From Abracaslop, the fictional encyclopedia

Proof that an event has been administratively noticed.

Archivist Edda Minute, an invented adult clerk, maintains the record. Edda does not create history by typing confidently. Evidence is attached, claims are attributed, and corrections receive a new revision.

The office distinguishes an event’s story date from the date it was recorded and the date it became public. Mara approves. Jules asks whether this means they can be late three times.

An absent receipt is not evidence that a character has vanished. It means Edda has not filed it. Her inbox is a geological feature.

The office’s seal is a star beside an empty box. The box is deliberately empty. It is not a download link.
